INNER DEMONS (FEATURED POST)

Image
The thing about our inner demons is... Nobody ever seems to notice We're nose deep Sinking in our own bloodpool And with every inch we sinking... We smile and cover our hurts with cackles of laughter The message is screaming at them But they choose to listen to the faint sound of "I'm fine" They ignore the sound Of our hearts breaking on the background We're learning to love But just as tough Is a million people expecting you to be their good samaritan We are so close to each other And the glue seems to be fake smiles and plastic teeth Nobody cares about the pain wrapped up in that blunt The only thing he learnt to pass was that Joy Paper And he only knows Sativa is the botanical name of his bestfriend The only girl who didn't look right through him was Mary Jane And She is so angry at the world Nobody loves me is her mantra and when a man comes close is because he can't come from a distance. She slits her wrists and hopes to crash i

POEPISODE 3 Final series “Journey with me to my head of old Meet iyonda my playful gate keeper She rolls in flowery plains Like a laughing hyena she cries Gazing at her broken water pot She thinks of the whips that await her And wishes she could be here forever So i make her my head’s gate keeper In here no whip can touch her But iyonda do me solid, get up and sing! Calm my storm with heavens melody Straight to sweet victoryville And as for you victorville Sweet God of victoryville Show me all is not in my head, a dream If i make a vow of cooperation Will my cup fill? And on my bread a spread of cream? Life like victoryville, a place to conquer Victoryville you are in my head and my pride On this land i will not rush and if i do its to build a church With drums and trumpets and Cymbals and tambourines Can you however wait till the corrupt perish? Then life will be mine Sink or swim they expect the best from me Oh Great deity show me all is not in my head. T

I write for My soul has become empty From lack of truth. I sing But my voice is cracked,- From cries of despair. I stand In the midst of friends, Whose intentions can't be trusted. I dance To the rhythm of sorrow, For that the only sound that plays In my subconsciousness . I search For a new type of pain, For my soul has adapted to hurt. Yorubaseeker

COMMODIFIED CONSCIOUSNESS ( FEATURED POST)

Image
Oppressed by honourable melancholy An anguish of knowledge and intelligence Held my heart in manacles of humility And my breast blooms of imperfect joy Life weeps more because vain it weeps Our backs bent to carry the catastrophe The personification of abstract – faith Volition and passion were satisfied Building our faith on politics and mountain If the man whose chameleons die often on Another man’s barbecue ashamed not; The man who owns the barbecue should be And God is so perfect and quiet To things that are than death important It is the battle of two perorated animals One has long horn and the other short Short horn large in size; long horn mini I cannot tell whose weight is better But one could lock the other outside That outside – we bend our heart to God With hypocrisy I think God should know If you were there last night There were pithy cold and catarrh With broad denial of identity in just congregation A revolution of will and countered will Col

All and sunder observe and watch Sink or swim they want to know your options We thought our Turmoil had seized Seemed like ripple effects “He is unbalanced!” Said the Psychotic; analyst I came in Glorious Ascension Dripping in olive oil and honey From my christener to the Godmother holding me up I squeezed her hand and sneezed, she laughed! “the boy is ready for work” she said Thus my journey began Elizabeth said, “this my boy you have such potential You will be a creator” “You will be a Narrator” Richard said that instead Well a Creative narrator would not have much to live on now would he? “Ignore them” my head said. Carve your wood. Find your way. I tried but I’m lost, all appears to be in disarray Elizabeth is no more From Richard? I refused to know more Si

Mad men have sense

Image
''One of the most important lessons of my life I have learnt from a mad man, yes a mild non-violent lunatic if there is anything like that. Anybody familiar with Awolowo Avenue old Bodija around 1999 will know Brother Wasiu, some people call him Londoner, He is always going about the street politely begging for five naira. “Brother e joo e fun mu ni 5 naira” meaning bros please give me 5 naira. He is always well dressed and polite, I bet you will be willing to give him I had sometimes heard a rumour that he was formerly in the UK and was conjured home by his family magically, this eventually had effect on his sanity. While I cannot authenticate the story, I can confidently say he was a very polite mad man. On this faithful day as I was standing in front of the gate of my Uncle’s house, Brother Wasiu passed bye soliloquising, he eventually turned to me and begged for the usual five naira, unfortunately, I had no five naira change with me, so I told him I have no money, at least

Stop living a lie

Image
Most tikes in our life we go against our will, we go against our truth just because it doesn't sound realistic, just because it doesn't sound possible, so we live a lie, a lie to justify our truth Fix all lies it make no sense to live a lie to enjoy a life

It Doesn't Worth It

Image
Contentment is a virtue, in this world where everybody want to live in the fast lane, where every body want to make it quick, where the joy of labour is becoming an undesirable trait, let us decide to do the right thing at all time, It Doesn't Worth It Integrity is everything, no matter the little one hustle can bring let's be proud of it and get joy in the fact that we eating from the sweat of our labour "It might take long for success to come but it is inevitable if you keep working" The urge to live a fake life should be suppressed, The desire of illegal wealth should be discarded, The fortunes of a thief last but for a while. There has never being a story of someone who had ill gotten wealth that didn't suffer a repercussion Desist from it "It Doesn't Worth It"

Power of an idea

Image
Someone walked into the office of British luxury car maker in 2013 and gave them an idea for them to design a two door Rolls Royce, the car is now ready and it going to be the most expensive car in the world the starting price is £10million that almost 4.95 billion naira . Ideas rule the world I always believe, The fastest way to be successful in business or whatsoever one is involved in is to keep searching for ideas and keep using them and in a short while the transformation one would achieve would be astonishing. Imagine a Rolls Royce with two seaters becoming the most expensive car in the world it happened all BASED ON BELIEVE Believe it ,Dream it, Work toward it, Achieve it . More pictures if the most expensive carπŸ˜‰

Too Much Respect Is Too Much

Image
There is this expectations of most older people in this part of the world which is almost unrealistic, they expect one to follow their advice to the latter, doing everything they say forcing them to become pawn, making out of them mental slaves. They believe since they have been around for a long time before us they are equipped with the best solution to solve and face all problems. But I beg to differ I believe even though they are wise in some aspect based on their many experiences of life they shouldn't rule out the fact that the world has changed, the ways of the past cannot be used to judge the now all the time. There are new realities that has affected the whole show, there has to be a consensus where we don't get people decision shoved on our neck since the responsibility of the decision would still be carried by us,instead, let's come to an agreement where we both bring our opinion to the table and find a suitable point where agreement can be reaches thank y

Tired Of life you see, The bird sings Yet no melody in it, Searching and seeking, Nothing beckoning. Of health you see Muscular yet faint, Walking around you fear Shall I faint "you despair" Shivering and shaking, And no movement. Of people you see Malice and backbiting, Trust is shattering, So many you know, Very little to show, With no one to trust. Of love you see True love you say, Infatuation you mean Breaking hearts, A sorry not enough; Fragile yet shattered. Tired you say Of life you see. Of health you see. Of people you see. Of love you see. God is never tired you see He remembers Zion, Understands the heart, So perfectly you see, By God he says; Oh weary and tired, Call unto me, And I will answer. Fulfilment I see. Love I see. Health I see. Live I say. Believe I say. Written and composed by IDUNDUN ABIMBOLA
