HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY

It took me a long time to write this because of the emotion from the death of CHRIS, but as they say life goes on.

Every 29 of May we celebrate Democracy Day in Nigeria, and here is a few fact about today

IT GAVE EVERYONE A BREAK Democracy day is a public holiday and thus has given people especially working class a chance to rest from the Monday hustle, also children are benefiting from it parent who were busy during the children's day can take their children out and chill.

THE PRESIDENT IS ON VACATION
As we speak the president of Nigeria, the Giant of Africa, is on medical leave in United Kingdom using Nigeria drugs in a London hospital.

WE STILL HAVE A COUNTRY
As silly as this sounds, we are still one. Since 1914 amalgamation there has been different call and cause to break up the status quo but they haven't been successful the latest being renewed agitation from Biafrian led by Nnamdi Kanu. I hope we can work our differences out and continue to be One Nigeria. I believe things would change.

PEOPLE ARE STILL SUFFERING AND SMILING
As I write a larger percentage of the population don't know how they would get their next meal, basic infrastructure are not available, the poverty in the land is on a rise, the rule of law has become a rule to oppress the poor and weak but guess we okay with the status quo as there has been no concrete plan by citizen to find an effective way to demand for change.

HAPPY DEMOCRACY DAY
